What is the reason for the rolled edge on the right side on some of the MX series trigger guards. I just can't figure it out?

It is something you will find on HIGH END guns, a less sharp edge for comfort. I think perazzi discontinued the practice around '76 on standard grade guns.

It's labor intensive, one of my Abbiatico & Salvinelli has both sides rolled.
