Depending on the model they always have and still do. I know when I bought a MX2000 in 2001 I had a choice of either leaf or coil. JRM

There're many models came with coil springs, Mostly on non-detachable trigger groups, except some TM, and MX-8B that came standard with coil springs in detachable trigger.

However, other detachable trigger group can also have coil springs as a factory option.

On O/u triggers, the "Sporting Clay" models have coil springs. Trap models have leaf springs. TM guns originally were leaf spring but were changed early on by the factory to coil springs.
