    I have a few questions....

What is the year of manufacture for an MX-15 serial number 1191XX?

I removed the choke tube from my gun and noticed that the plating from the outside of the CT was delaminating in a couple places. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? Should the CT be replaced? I have owned many Pguns and have never seen this before.

Does anyone have a number 6 or 7 factory CT for an MX-15 for sale? If so, how much? I may consider nonfactory as well depending on who made them.

    Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure it's a year 2000 production ser. #. Like above mentioned, year code should be BN.

Those choke tubes can turn black in some cases, No worry, they are useable.

If you want to find more chokes, you'll need to indicate bore size. 18.4, 18.5, or 18.7 on these 4th gen. chokes.

    Steve,

It's not a discoloration on the CT, it is actually a peeling off of the plating in two spots. I have never seen this before on a Pgun CT.....I thought their CT's were SST.

It is stamped 18.4 and BN (2000 proof date).

    Jim,

The factory 4th gen. chokes are not SS, they are plated, and some of them will come off. As long as you keep their threads clean and properly coated with anti-seize they are perfectly serviceable.

I'll check what extra 4th gen chokes I have, might be able to get you couple.
