I stopped by my local gun store this week and got a fantastic deal on a well used, but solid TM1. This is my first dedicated trap gun, and my first Perazzi, but I have had a few K and B guns. Can anyone share some insight regarding the age of the gun? It is an Ithaca import and the s/n is either 800319 or just 319. The barrel and iron only have the 319 stamped on them. The stamp on the bottom of the mono block has an X in it, but I can't tell the other letter. I appreciate any information anyone is willing to share.

    Thanks,
    John

John, Karl Lippard's Perazzi book shows sn 120 to 565 as 1971. The last of the X's was XXX in 1974. Shoot well.

The barrel proof marks, weight, and date stamp can be difficult to read and are located on the underside of the barrel tube. The Ser# is generally in larger font and in a more prominent location on the frame, monoblock, and forend iron. 1687 is probably 1972.

If anyone could tell me what year #108 tm 1 is. I am just curious because it is mine and I like the gun alot and people ask me sometimes about the year it was built.

    thanks,
