I purchased an upgraded wood MX8(drop out trigger) stock and forearm through a friend in the UK,ending being a sporting stock, plan to list soon on the site or ebay.

My question the set has matching serial numbers 114910 L - what does the L stand for?

Appreciate the answer if someone knows, really not interested in guesses I can come up with those myself.

    Thanks
    Bernie

Barry this was one of my thoughts but when you look from the back over the stock down the barrel in shooting postion - the stock angles a bit to the right - "Cast off" - would this not be for a right handed shooter .

You say that you have upgraded wood. I have had SCO and SC3 grade guns with an ''L'' stamped on the stocks and or the flats of the barrels. this stamp indicates LUSSO grade. Ray

I would think it's possible LUSSO as well, but none of my SCO, SCO sideplate, & Extra grade woods has "L" on them.

It's also possible that only slight upgraded wood would have "L" to distinguish it from standard. Like MX-8 had a Lusso grade before.

Gentleman- Thanks for the info, the stock came from the UK - Lusso does sound reasonable and if its stamped on Rays guns that seems to re afirm the info.

    Thanks
    Bernie
