I am not a Perazzi owner but see SO MANY different models advertised, it gets confusing. IS there a place or source for model info (other than the catalog) that describes each model?

    TM1
    TMX
    Mirage
    MX2000
    MX2005
    SC3
    SCO

    Not a buyer. Just curious.

Hello and kind regards from a small Welsh village in South West Wales in the United Kingdom. If you go to www.ebay.com and do a search for Perazzi you will find Karl C. Lippards 1994 paperback book on Perazzi Shotguns for $14.95 plus P & P. Plenty of information and well worth having on your bookshelf. Thanks and again kind regards. Philip

    Gene,

Philip made a very good suggestion, although my dear friend Karl's book is dated and containing some minor misinformed data. He wrote the book to promote some guns he had for sale at the time. But so far that's the best and only book we have.

    To answer your questions directly,

TM1 is a true single barrel American Trap gun.

TMX is a later version TM1 with high rib.

Mirage is the name designated for their Live Pigeon shooting model at the beginning, it's the same gun as MX-8, with different rib at the time.

    MX-2000 is a MX-8 with MX-2000 style engravings. Plus a unsingle ATA gun that's unique to MX-2000.

MX-2005 is a MX-2000 with extra high rib.

SC3 and SCO are the grades of their engraved guns. They started from SC3, then SCO, SCO ORO (gold), SCO sideplate, Sideplate ORO, Extra, Extra ORO, and Extra Super.

    Hope this helped some.

Steve W always has the good information.

If you click the above link, it takes you to the Perazzi site in Italy and lists nearly all of their guns. The TM1 and TMX won't be there because they have not mde them for many, many years, but most of the others might be there.

I have owned Perazzi guns for 35 yrs. TM1 Single Barrel, MX 3 ,MX 8,
    Comp 1,Mirage.
Lots of new models. Most O/U use the original MX receiver.
I was told it was previewed at 1968 Mexico Olympics.
I am not an expert, but I have enjoyed shooting Perazzi Guns for many years.
I am an MX 8 fan. My original MX 8 (1979) A couple of years ago I had the lumber updated by Wenig. Being left handed , I had Chambers/Wenig do there magic. If you let Wenig loose, they do amazing things.
You received a response from Whiz White, He is our online expert.
