I have shot a Perazzi for two or three years now and my lever has moved farther and farther toward the center of the tang. Does this ever need to be repaired and if so how much would it cost and what is the cause.

Probably your problem is caused by the locking block. When it is getting old the lever moves more and more to the center. It's not hard to replace it but it's always suggested have a gunsmith do it. I'm making now locking block and will be ready for sell by the end of November and the cost will be $ 75,00 USD.

Or you can have the barrel lugs welded and refitted to the original locking bolt. JRM

You can't just buy a locking block and put it in, they have to be fitted by a competent gunsmith.

Find one who can sell it and fit it to your gun.

I had Giacomo replace the locking block in my MX-8 seven years ago when he was at the Missouri Fall Handicap. The top lever was then more to the right as a result(and still is--I think Giacomo must have used harder steel!).
