    Hi

Slide the pin starting from the opposite side of the release lever catch. Don't remove it all the way (just enough to release the firing pin) or you will have to chase the catch spring.

    Regards

Drive out the firing pin retainer pin from the LEFT side to the RIGHT side, BUT DO NOT drive it all the way out.

In doing so this way you will not have to reassemble the lever stop plate at all... leaving the pin in it, will keep it altogether.

Don't forget to remove the firing pin return coil spring(s). These sometimes do not come out easily. I use a dentist's pick, but you can simply bent the tip of a paper clip over and pull the coil out.

I recommend changing both the firing pin and its coil at the same time.

Big M P: I had to find a way to do it because putting that lever release mechanism back in is a PITA for a guy with big hands.
