    Hello again,

I wanted to show this Perazzi, it is for a lady shooter in the Mid West. The wood is Tiger Myrtle that was provided by my good friend Michael Mann. If you want to talk to Mike about Myrtle Wood you can reach him at 541-441-6222. I hope he dosen't mind me putting his number on the web! Thank you to all that take a look, this is a very beautiful set of wood.

I was at the shop last week and got to see this wood. It is even prettier in person.

    Dennis,

Quit pushing the Tiger Myrtle!!!! This is one of the rarest aberrations of the rarest wood in the world. Every now and then someone will call and ask me to send pictures to them of five or six sets. I have a single set in stock and it is spoken for by a California collector. If he doesn't take it, it'll go to you for your next client. I'm driving 450 miles tomorrow just to evaluate a slab that may yield a single 2 piece set. Then the negotiation begins. If I decide that the slab has potential and can wrench it from the cutter's hands, then my layout specialist and I will determine the correct structural layout and put it under the blade. If the resultant set isn't snapped up at the Winter Chain Shoot in Sunnyvale, California this weekend, I'll post it on TS.com Monday night for all to see and enjoy.

Seriously, I appreciate your mention of the source and by all means keep it up! This is about the tenth set that I've placed in the last two years and all are absolutely stunning. The following picture is a Myrtle rifle in stock, dry and ready to go, just to give folks another view of Myrtlewood. This one would also make an incredible shotgun set. The forend is guaranteed to be the same as the stock - they're attached.

If you haven't cut the Maple for my Infinity yet, I may consider asking you to put this one on my gun. After all, I've just finished cutting, numbering and end coating 700 Myrtlewood sets and rifles. Might be getting a reputation.

Regards, Mike Mann White Creek Gunstock Blanks

Mike this would be a stunning piece for your Infinity. If you would like this one as opposed to the one already cut by all means send it out. No disrespect but the one displayed is a better looking blank. Sorry for exposing you just trying to help. And yes I am aware that the Tiger Myrtle is a rare find but again thank you for the one displayed. I have a very happy customer.

    Dennis,

Go ahead with the Maple as planned. It is a very classy piece. The one pictured above won't last through the weekend. As much as I hate to sell one of my "children", that's what they're for. I did pick up the "extra" tiger myrtle forend you were looking for today. It'll be on the way to you on Monday.

    Mike
