    Beautiful.

We woodworkers call that quilted maple, as opposed to birds eye or tiger maple.Getting harder and harder to find that grade of wood. Wish I had the skill to make my own stocks as I have the wood. I build furniture. I can make you a bedroom suite but handling the DAC, cast, etc. on a stock is a daunting job.

Again, beautiful wood and beautiful work.

The larger the quilts the rarer and more expensive and exceptional it is

This stock is about as rare a product as you will find and probably is an example of what you are looking for in Quilted maple

You cant begin to appreciate the 3D quality unless you have it in front of you- that depth doesnt show in a 2 dimensional photo

Very, very nice. If it was finished in an oil, you would have to be slapped to get you out of the gaze, daze! Kind of like looking at one of those staring, 3D puzzles.
