What they really mean is % of choke. Perazzi do Parent bore choles in 0 to 10 in increments of 1, Eg: 1 means 10% 2 means 20% 3 Means 30% etc, Perazzi choke tubes come in increments of 2, so 0 2 4 6 8 10, full choke being generally around 40thousands of an inch

May god I cannot understand some of the postings. I you have a Perazzi that has not been altered the following will apply. Chokes tudes etc. #10 is full # 8 is improved mod. #6 is improved modified, # 4 is modified and #2 is improved skeet. If I am wrong please post more info including authentic calculations. - Jim

Well, I have been soooo confused over the years. Now, finally argus has made it clear. A 1 is 10% and a 2 is 20% etc. So if I put in a 7 then I have 70%. Great! 70% of what I don't know. But, I don't even care. What an easy system. Jake

What i tried to do was give you the eqasion Eg: if full choke is .040 then 70% be.028 80% eill be .032 Etc Etc, to make it clearer 3/4 choke is 75% so 7 is just under 3/4 and 8 is just over. What perazzi have done is taken the origional 5 points of choke(cyl 1/4 1/2 3/4 and Full) and made 10 points of choke. is it necassary? the old system has served us well for over 100 years, my view is if it not broke don't fix it
