Great. I would rather hear the truth then live in denial.

When a Perazzi blows up it's hard to find enough pieces to take photos. How's that Jon??

I know of only one catastrophic failure of a Perazzi MX8 OU... It did not blow into pieces but "stretched" the receiver and part of the chamber. There was no damage apparent to the barrels. It was damaged while shooting reloads made on an older Ponsness Warren automatic loader. The owner didn't know if it was a double charge or not but the result of a single shot did the damage.

Just stating the facts. It has been discussed many times here that there have been double charges with some loaders. I had two myself but did not damage my MX8 .... it cocked my hat but the gun went unscathed. I only shoot factory loads now.

Thanks Barry we need to hear the reason or likely reasons for any failures. An informed buyer is a smart buyer.

Barry, I'm sorry if I offended you in any way. I was just trying to be funny and sarcastic but it may have sounded different to you. I think this thread was started to stir a pot a bit, strictly as humorous in nature, because of the K80 Blowup thread that got so much attention. If my MX8 blew up and took my right eye I would simply shoot my other Perazzi left handed. I think the world of Perazzi's and even own a PW 800b loader with no problems with either.

Nice to see how gentlemen handle a simple misunderstanding (if any). My hat off to you.

I use an "older Ponsness Warren Automatic Reloader".( A 800 B, early 70s). I have loaded tens of thousands reloads with it and believe it is impossible to load a double charge as long as the handle is pulled completely down and the turret indexes. Larry

Yes, just a gentleman's discussion, led of course by 'dawg-pound, who bites if he senses a stranger he doesn't like...

I have personally shot a few DOUBLE charges through my Perazzi. One pushed back so hard it took a chip out of the stock right behind the barrel selector. I have NEVER blown it up and I guess I have tried. Oh I also use a PW loader :)

There you have it. Perazzi owners tend to load on PW's and that's why they explode. Come to think of it, the shooter who blew up his TMX also loaded on a PW!!
