I haven't made it to Sparta yet this year, was wondering if the peach ice cream is as good as always. It's worth the 100 mile trip on it's own. Good Shooting to all!

I heard thru the grapevine today, that the FFA booth on the very end of the lower vendor line had it. They did! I had a huge bowl at 3:00 pm to my delight. It is great Peach Ice Cream - my favorite, and I know I will probably have a bowl each and every day. I might have to cut down on how much ice cream I have at night, just before bed-time. Oh, the joys of advancing age!

    Steve,

You have to have some of the cobbler with it. Trust me.

There is a pretty big article in the local paper on how the "Peach Icecream" has become a Grand American tradition in Sparta. Here is to many more years of that tradition in Sparta.

Make sure you eat it indoors. If your outside, it will melt
    in 30 seconds.

My best day of shooting there Matt was 2 of the rib-eye sandwiches with 2 cobbler and peach ice creams for desert. They had to fire up the make or break engine to make more ice cream. :)

Haven't had peach ice cream (or any flavor) since 2005 when my miserable son of a bitch doctor told me I had prediabetes and gave me a list of things I shouldn't eat. Still prediabetic. Fortunately, beer wasn't on the list.

I"m not much for ice cream, BUT the peach is excellent, and i eat it to keep my fruit in-take up! And right close by was the rib-eye sandwiches, what a breakfast! For lunch i always had the cod from the ST> Josephs?? church group, not sure of the group, but a cod fish sandwich and tomatoe put me in the mood to finish the afternoon. Man I wish i was there!! mark crist

Is the guy with the Root Beer Floats there again. Now that is a way to beat the heat. We have one bet on one event each day. Won't be there until Sunday. Can't wait. Oh and I just finished Cardiac rehab again today for I think the sixth time. Hey if you can't enjoy a few goodies once in a while, why live.

They are trying to get permission to set up at the Grandstands for the shoot-offs.

Since I know that it is obvious that I have been there.
