I have been putting some patterns on a board with a 1 oz. load full choke thru a BT-99 at about 33 yds, and would like to see some of your patterns with your own evaluation of what you see when you look at it. Just curious to see if I am on the right track! Thanks.

Here is my POI shot at 13 yds. What do you think?

Do you think that 13 yd POI shot would represent a 70/30 gun or closer to a 80/20 gun?

Don't have any pictures of 1 ounce patterns on this computer, but this 1-1/8 ounce pattern has the same results at 35 yards.

1150 fps. 1-1/8 #8's, Green Dot powder, BT-99, Carlson IM extended sporting choke. 85% in a 30" circle. Not to bad for an IM choke.

Pull-it, To answer your question about the 13 yard pattern, in my experience you can change your POI equation by ten percent when you go back to 35 yards. For example, a gun that shoots, by actual count, 90/10 at 13 yards will change to 80/20 at 35. A gun that counts 80/20 at 13 yards will change to 70/30 at 35. This has been my experience in testing three different guns, both barrels in each gun, and every test came out the same. Jack

Martinpicker, next time you measure your patterns, measure to pattern centers from POA and see how that reads for you?
