Pattern Board Grease Recipe Recipe

    I use cans of spray paint that i buy for .99 each and can use different colors for aiming points.

    I use white lithium, but over time it attracts dust and dirt and turns brown. I'm considering the white marker/surveyors paint as it is easier to remove.

    GREASE BOARD SPECS
    BOARD IS 36” X 36” 1/8” THICK WEIGHT 99 LBS

    GREASE COATING FORMULA
    5 TUBS WHITE LITHUM GREASE(1 lb)
    APPROX ½ QUART SYNTHETIC OIL
    ½ + QUART OF WHITE PAINT PIGMENT(available at ace hardware paint)

    stir all of this up in container smear on board with rubber gloves and roll out with paint roller

    Powdered white Zink, mixed with Crisco. Melt it together in a pot, pour into a can. Use a paint brush Lasts forever.

    Spray pain (sic) Paint!

    I spend half of my life at the pattern plate. Paint is the way to go! Spray paint. Grease works but you need to make it it's messy and you need a good roler or brush. Paint is easy.
