Rich, We need a little more info to be able to help. "G" or "SW" series machine, is it ossilating back and forth like normal and giving those strong left hand targets, are you getting your normal right target during ossislation or no ossilation at all. If your machine is ossilating as normal but with a very strong left the right reed switch (G-series machine) may have moved further to the right allowing the machine to throw the bad lefts. The reed switchs are held in place by an allen screw that pinchs the ossc. cylinder bolts/rods. When that switch is made (energized or deenergized) the hydraulics are switched to pump into the other end of the ossc. cylinder thus changing direction. Please let us know what you find is the problem so we can learn too! I'll check here again tomorrow.

It is a G series. We get some rights but mostly center, left or center hard left. ihave tried moving the magnets so you would not get any lefts at all but we still get thehard left.

    thank you

Sounds like the reed switch, but if it over travels the switch you have to bring it back into the normal operating range by manually jogging it. If it is throwing hard left and the rights are way left also, it would seem that both switches moved toward the closed end of the cylinder. There is also a piece of square keystock in between the switches that hold their spacing, the switches need to be in contact with that keystock for correct spacing of the right and left throws. Hope this helps.

Could the whole machine have possibly moved to the left on it's mount ?

    Just a thought.

The # 2 spacer is betwen the switches and it is secure on the mount with lag bolts. no signs of movement.

    thank you

    Rich,

Have you sat in the house and watched it while it is throwing targets?

Sometimes you can tell a lot fromn that.

Sounds like the reed switches along with the spacers moved or the machine has shifted to the left

Make sure the machine/magnet is clean. Center your field. Then adjust the magnets with the adjustment bar that comes with the trap. If you do not have an adjust bar, the correct (between the magnets) measurement is in the manual.

If the machine still throws from center to left, move the whole field to the right by moving both switches in tandem. If this does not fix it you have one of the magnets switches not operating properly. They don't go out very often but I have seen them dirty.

Rich, are you moving the target bar and switches in the in the correct direction ? As you are facing the front of the machine you move them to the right .--page 23-24 of the Pat trap manual will give you a good illustration for this adjustment. You may also have a reed switch not working properly. --charlie at Pat -Trap can tell how to check your switches ph 603-428-3396. Inexperianced help loading the machine from the front will sometimes move switches with their feet.--Hope this helps-- Rollie

Watch it drop the target and be sure the brush is holding it in place. Ray

We had one slip past a switch today. Put in on manual, bumped it back to straight-a-way, back to auto, good to go. Have no clue why a machine does this but it is a machine, and it does sometimes.
