My club will be placing an order for a new Pat Trap; would like any feedback on whether the side loading turret is worth the added cost.

    Thanks in advance.

Depends up the configuration of your traphouse.

Do you have enough roof clearance for top loading?

Is the machine low enough for the average height guy/gal to top load?

Those are just a couple of questions that come to mind quickly.

We have one, it is a waste of money. Hard to remove and replace the angles

My Club's PAT trap has the side loading feature and I/we think it is great.

We have had absolutely no problems and the ability to place a stack of 15 targets at a time is a great time saver. I will admit the feature is only used at the front of the trap where the roof of the trap house is closer to the trap.

Otherwise, I feel it was money well spent.
