The current club I shoot at is pondering purchasing a new pat-trap versus having one re-manufactured. Can anyone tell me how their machines worked over time. I would like to know:

    1. How long it was before you overhauled a new machine? Years?
    2. How long it was before you overhauled a re-manufactured machine? Years?

We are trying to see if we are better off re-manufacturing our current machines or purchasing new. Will we have a longer time waiting to re-condition the machines? Any information on break-downs of re-manufactured machines vs. new would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks again,

    Cory

We measure in terms of target counter readings rather than temporal measurements.

Over a million to be sure. We sold used ones since there was a market for them. I would have no problem rebuilding, but it seems they just don't need that much in terms of major rehab.

A club in Canada (Valleyfield, Quebec) has one of the first manufactured.

They purchased it used from La Roue du Roy.

The unit was updated at some point and works flawlessly.

We get over 1.5 million targets per machne before even considering rebuilding = North Hollywood Sportsman's Club. Just replace the parts as they wear out. Fred

I like the old Pats, and ones with wobble also, much better than the newer style. Oh well.....Ray
