Pat is writing mystery novels now. Info at his website. One of the funniest outdoor writers ever, better even than Ed Zern.

Woodbury was one and 2 others that i don't recall. are you from Mn?? dennis

p.s. whenever i reread his stories i get to laughing so hard that my wife wonders whats wrong until i tell her what i'm reading. he was the only reason i subscribed to outdoor life.

I remember him writing about ways to sneak a gun into the house. One was by putting a lamp shede on it. That one has not worked for me. Jerry

Thanks for the reminder of Pat. I used to have a trio of his books. Who could forget Retch Sweeney, the war surplus store, (Grogin's?) his dog, his sister the troll, his long suffering mom and grandma, carrying a sandwich in a .45 acp holster. I have sat and laughed until my jaws hurt.

I used to get kicked out of bed reading him. Page for page the funniest guy in print. One of my favorites was the homemade diving suit and the terrified milk cows. Still have the books, time to re-read them.
