It would be more accurate to say "liberal, left wing, trial lawyers." There are many conservative, God fearing, gun owning, lawyers among us who are fighting the good fight . . .

We made need the "Party of Lawyers". This just in:

"VIENNA, Austria — Iran is threatening to sue countries that it says have damaged its reputation and pushed to have U.N. Security Council involvement in its nuclear program."

This internet stuff is really interesting.

Neutron Newt Gingrich really WAS a history professor. Sen. Frist IS an M.D. and surgeon. Bush II and Dick Chaney both DID come from the world of business.

Likewise, many of the dems named in the piece have law degrees in their backgrounds. Bill and Hill are both Yale Law alums. Barack and Michelle are both Harvard Law alums. Harry Reid got his law degree from George Washington Univ. in D.C.

Notorious ambulance chaser John Edwards is an alum of the Univ. of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Edwards is noteworthy primarily for his monumental hypocrisy and extorting enormous sums of cash from corporate defendants. His bride, Elizabeth Edwards, is another Chapel Hill law school graduate.

Gore’s college background includes a Harvard undergraduate degree in government. By several accounts he attended and essentially flunked out of both divinity and law programs at Vanderbilt. Of course, he redeemed his undistinguished academic history by inventing the internet. : )

So the piece is really neat except for all the factual inaccuracies, spins and slight of hand distortions. Following is a list of examples in no particular order

    1. Law school graduates holding congressional leadership positions is a mixed
    bag.
    • Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has a law degree.
    • Democrat House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer has a law degree.
    • Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell ALSO has a law
    degree.
    • Republican House Minority Leader, John Boehner, does not.
    • The Democrat Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, is a Trinity College alum with a degree in political science and a masters in public administration. She is a career politician, liberal menace, and dipshit but she is NOT an attorney nor did she attend law school.

    2. The piece was (cleverly??) crafted to exclude President Carter who does not have a law degree but to include Senator Lloyd Bentsen identified as not having a law degree. Contrary to what was stated, Bentsen graduated from the Univ. of Texas at Austin WITH a law degree.

    3. (Corrected at 4:30 pm cdst)Since 1976 six out of eight Democrat presidential and vice presidential nominees have held a law degree. The exceptions are Carter and Gore.

Since 1976 a total of eight different Republicans have been the nominated for President and/or vice president. Three of them (37.5%) had law degrees including V.P. Dan Quayle, V.P. Bob Dole, and President Ford.

    4. As previously noted, Republican Senator Bill Frist, former Majority Leader of the Senate is an M.D. and surgeon. However, Frist’ Republican predecessor, Senator Trent Lott and Republican minority leading successor, Mitch McConnell, ARE both lawyers. A bit of cherry picking to shade a point wouldn’t you agree??

And… if the piece had listed former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle. He would have had to have been listed as a non-lawyer Democrat.

G damn boys, conservatives have a plenty good story to tell without circulating distorted bullsh!t off the net.

You really believe tha, that lawyers have all the power, ha!, the one person who has the most power is a surgeon, he takes your money, screws up during surgery, demands more money and then leaves you paralized, or dead if you are lucky, that is true power.

If lawyers are bad, doctors are so much worse, they do have power of life and death, think about it.

I trust a loaded gun more than I do a butcher, er doctor.

Remember--It's only 99% of lawyers that give the other 1% a bad name!
