    Used to be a guy in Champaign, Il who was a Parker guru, but understand he passed away a year or so. have a friend inheriting an old Parker SxS and would like it redone. Where's the best place to send it these days?

    Indeed it does in spades to Parkers. Parker collectors live and die by original condition. To my knowledge, they are as a group much more concerned about the original condition than most other vintage double collectors. Whoever intends to "redo" the Parker should go slow and get some good advice. I agree that the Parker forum should be consulted.
