I have a nice old Parker Hammer Gun----32",full,and full(Damascus)barrels---it is a "little loose"-----I did kill 2 pheasants with it this year(YES,Black Powder Ctgs)
Ideas on who could "tighten it up"at a reasonable price?????

    Thanks for any information..

He's about the best there is. He's not cheap, but he is reasonable. Besides, you don't want cheap when you're talking about an irreplaceable antique.

You might also call L. Del Greco in Illion, N.Y., Parker specialist.

However, "at a reasonable price", may be questionable.

for a lot less money get yourself shim stock and fit a piece to the through pin in the receiver. A. Piece .003 would probably work. Save yourself a few bucks and it works very well.

What EEB said will work. Use a brass shim, you can wrap the shim around a pencil to get the rough shape, put some grease on the shim and put it on the roll. Works just fine and is easily replaced if the gun gets loose again.

Dewey Vicknair can add metal to the lug but it won't be cheap and your wait may be long. DelGrego will not work on any Parker with twist or damascus barrels.
