I have been reading a lot of topics about 2012, financial collapse, or other dooms day possible events, including the fall of our own government. Think what you like but one statement comes to mind. If any of the above would or could possibly happen, and you need surplus food, shelter security ECT...
I would rather have it that wish I had!!!!
Is there really a difference between being paranoid or prepared when relating to this topic???? I think not!!! If you look at the King Riots, The Katrina aftermath, and other large scale natural or man made events. Nobody could help those in need right away. They were on their own!!!!
How naive and quick people forget. I will never forget The Korean Americans defending their home/business as people rioting burned down and looted buildings all around theirs as they stood tall in front of their property armed with AK47's and nobody even thought about bothering them or their building.
Nor will I forget the problems other countries have faced in financial collapse and I will definitely not forget the wrath that follows socialism that was taught to us in grade school like the Holocaust. I consider myself to be fairly decent when it comes to common sense. I remember telling my father when I was in school as a child, " I know we go to school to learn and prepare for life as we grow. I can understand them teaching us English and reading, Science and Physical education, Home Economics and math class, Shop class and art. But dad, I asked, what on earth does History class have to do with preparing us for life.
His answer was the best advise I have ever had and heard of. He responded saying History is the most important class of all, to prepare you for life. Its because throughout time History always repeats itself and you can learn from mistakes that have been made throughout time.
Hence my fellow shooters I give you the very reason for our constitution and our Bill of Rights. In particular the second amendment!
I am a Police Officer and know that the world is oh to real even though we would prefer to hide and forget about its problems.
Knowing what I face every day and the reality of the world we live in, Call me paranoid, but I know I'l be prepared to take care of my family. Will You?????...

    Stay safe and shoot well.

Amen.... I have to deprogram my kids every week when they come home from their social studies class. The revised history they are teaching now is just bullshit. This is all part of the UN Agenda 21 project. From 2005 - 2015 is the decade to dumb down the kids. Don't believe me? It's been verified from the Agenda 21 book.

    I also have food insurance....

We have a group on our block that are like mind thinking. We have a plan to co exists in the event the shit hits the fan. Food ammo and other essentials are stored in different homes. For those that choose not to participate, they will be banished from the community.

I know this sounds kind of harsh, but just like the post above, they didn't screw with the armed people during the riots.

Feeling a little jumpy today Sam? I know that you see some unpleasant stuff, being a police officer, but what you see is not everyday life for most of us. it is a fraction, a slice, if you will of the total reality of life. Call me what you will, but i prefer to focus on the positive side. It is very easy, especially in these time to focus on the trouble and danger that has ALWAYS been out there. Smell the roses, but carry a stick, just in case.

The UN is bs and always has been. We need to get out of it and throw them out of the US...... except that won't happen. You see, America is OVER! These people have corrupted everything they have touched especially education - and by design. In the early part of the 20th century, the communists knew that if they could capture the minds of the younger generation it would only be a mettere of time before they had it all. Well, they got what they wanted.

The interesting part is that if there is no objective truth why do we need education at all? What will they teach if not such verities as 1+1=2? If that equation is not true or is changeable into anything the masses want it to be, why should we spend another cent on education? Yet, every politician promises more money for education. A conspiracy? You decide.

Exactly why I have a cabin in W.V.and why I'm learning at a late age to save seeds from my garden for the next year. Also, why I tend to buy at least one box of ammo, rifle, shotgun every time I stop in at any store that carries them. Also have a compoud bow I intend to refurb even though I don't shoot it.Reading the Foxfire series of books and any book that shows how to preserve food, build root cellar,or any other thing I might need.If nothing happens,I'll still have some basic knowledge of basic living.

I don't believe my house is going to burn down but I carry fire insurance.

Having a few extras on hand could help out any situation, one simply being loss of job or income.

Others could be natural disaster, Terrorist attack, disease...ect.

You would not be much of a man if you could not feed your family, Mormons store a one year supply of food.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Ben Franklin. That advice is worth more today than even back then. Will Bill
