This has probably been discussed before but I did not see it. I noticed that the 100K winner was using Federal Papers. What is the advantage of papers over plastics?

    a) ballistically? There is no difference in FGM, one to the other.

    b) preference & access

    c) tradition/nostalgia/continuity

It has been discussed and I don't recall any hard data showing the actual superiority of these shells. From my limited experience the GM papers hit targets hard and don't seem to kick much and probably the most important thing is they smell great when you pop them out of the gun. The down side is these shells are expensive and you don't see them for sale at many places.

I guess a guy that just won $100K can afford a whole lot more of the Federal GM paper ammo as it obviously worked for him!

I load them because I miss that smell from the old days. Nothing better than green or red dot in a paper for a legal high

For me, the only significance difference is tradition. The Federal papers remind me of the good old days, but even the good old days were probably not as good as I remember them.

I was informed the Gentleman that won the $100,000 is a Federal Rep, as well as a good hdcp shooter. Congrats to him. Jake

A perfume would be my preference Matt.... nothing like a lady that smells like spent shot shells!

Hell it would work for skeeters too!

Paper tube + paper base wad = lower felt recoil.
