    Hi all,
I've taken some classes at a local fly shop here in Indy, and have started tying sponge spiders (with hackle and also rubberband legs). If anyone out there is interested, shoot me a pm and we can go from there. After materials and packaging, they are .50 each. I'll be packing them in 3's. They are the typical #12 body on a #12 kink shank hook. Deadly on bream and smallies in the river! Would love to get some of you guys or ladies to order a few!

    best fishes, powderburn

PS: these are GREAT to start kids with. These were the first flies that I used when I was a kid, and they are still deadly.

Although i'm not interested in buying them, i'd love to see your work. My dad tied flies for years. I have his old vice and bobbin and some other tools. I know crudely how to do it but it doesn't interest me to do anymore. Anyway just love to see your work. Post some pics for us.--Matt

    PB...

I'll take 5 packs...my daughter has just started flyfishing and is hooked (so to speak). Her birthday is in May and this'll be a nice present along with her handmade rod...

    I'll email you for specifics.

I lived i Southern WI on a Lake and I had a dock. Much different than the current River. but I used these squiggly spiders to catch little bluegills off the dock. i was using a 5WT ST Croix rod and a 3M reel. I could cast that beggar 75-85 feet to the neighbors dock and get a blue every cast. There were some little large mouth too, but the Blues were the action.

Many thanks to all of you who have ordered spiders from me. This has been fun, and I am excited about promoting flyfishing and maybe getting a few fellas hooked on this sport.

    Hi all,
Thanks for all the orders thus far! The weather is FINALLY turning for the better here in Indiana. We need about two weeks of warm weather, sunshine, some breeze, and then the fish will go nuts and start bedding. Woohoo! I have some foam spiders that still need a home in a flybox somewhere. pm me or email to place an order.
