A great idea...why the heck not? Steelworker, snowmobile racer, hot-wife tapper...I can see a whole lot of average white guys identifying with him (or trying to).

Seriously...I know a lot of "NASCAR Dads" out there who have absolutely nothing, nothing in common with Barack Obama, and have no business voting for him. Has anyone in the McCain campaign considered having Mr. Palin simply "ask" for their support?

I mean, I'm not saying, place a PBR can in his hand or anything...but just simply, make the case?

    Buzz,

I think that is an excellent idea. A lot of "outdoors" type guys could identify with Mr Palin. Hopefully the Republican party will think of this, or perhaps you should send them an email suggesting it.

    On the other hand...

I guess that being a steelworker, he has to have a plan in place in the event that his wife doesn't win...I bet Union types could make his life hell if he spoke out for Republicans, they lost, & then he had to go back to work on the rig on Monday.

Hmm...consider this one poorly thought out...I retract the idea.

Hey, what's the problem? Hilary's wife campaigned for her.
