What is a good formula for painting a steel patterning plate? I assume one uses a roller to apply the mixture between shots. What do you mix in with paint, or is just spray paint in a can O.K.? Thanks for the help.

White grease is good, use a short nap roller to erase. Works like an Etch-A-Sketch.

won't dry out like paint, and needs ver little replenishing.

I've used both and the grease board is by far the best way to go. Paint will build up over time and be a pain in the butt. But if you do go that route don't use the spray cans (very thin coat) go with the latex house paint.

Crisco works better than most grease, you can darken it if need be with graphite, carbon dust or ground up target pieces. A paint roller and plastic shower squeegee and you're good to go.

white lithium grease, thinned with motor oil. Use a long handled toilet brush, the rollers will splatter on you.

Grease with metal six inch scraper. Rollers and brushes are a pain in the butt.
