Bob, a couple of us from a little west of Harrisburg might want to participate. Do the rules permit entering multiple scores on one shoot date? If not, that's a long drive for 50 targets.

Bob, I was thinking more along the lines of shooting ahead, not back. I know that doesn't "spread the wealth" evenly among the clubs but it does put more money in the league kitty. We would like to drive down once a month and shoot 200 targets or twice a month and shoot 100.

Where does "Lower Merion" shoot? Last I heard, their club closed in the early 80s.

I can understand if they disallow what I'm talking about. I ran a winter league in the Harriesburg area for 13 years and always had trouble keeping shooter attendance close to equal between the five clubs. One of them had south-facing traps, so the low winter sun made the targets hard to see, and another shot over water, so the air currents raised hell with the targets. Many shooters tried to shoot around those two clubs so I had to limit the number of times a shooter could shoot ahead to try to overcome that.

They should consider how PenMar does it...you cant shoot ahead but can do makeups but the makeups must be at the club of the week you missed...it is easier for PenMar though because its only 3 clubs and two different ranges ..the 3rd clubs share of weeks are split between our two locations

    Bob,
If we could have shot ahead, I would have shot all 600 targets yesterday. The weather was great! While I agree we should not be allowed to shoot ahead, I think we should be able to make up atleast 2 missed matches as long as you shoot it at the same club.
