While loading on 12ga P_W, finished shells began to get a crease around them about 1/2 way up. I cleaned all the shell holders but it still does it about 1 of 3 loaded.Load being used is the same, no changes. Any ideas ?

If you are load new style AA hulls backing off the crimp starter and final crimping station should solve the problem. Whiz will need to know something about the hull, wad, powder and shot charge to give a more definitive answer.

Let's everbody answer for Whiz and give him multiple choice respondses:

    1. The STS hulls come with folds built in.
    2. You forget to put in your powder bushings.
    3. You have a 1 3/8 oz. shot bushing dumping shot into a 1 oz. wad.
    4. You are in deep do-do!
    5. Your P/W is beyond repair -- but I have a new one to sell you that can be in the mail today.
    6. All of the above.

Best regards Whiz... thought I would help you out. Fred

Fred: "None of the Above" - ha!

Tighten up everything; set-screw, nuts, etc.

I'm thinking that you are stuffing to much into the hull. The powder is too big a volume, of the wad is not correct for the reload being done, or too much shot.

When the wad is inserted, the top of the wad should just to level with the top of the shell's crimp RING (the top of the shell when loaded, or 2 3/4".

    Which P/W Machine (800B, 800C, 800CVT, 900, 950, 800 Plus, Platinum?
What is the load EXACTLY?
Are you using the P/W Bushing Chart?
Powder Bushing?
Powder and grains of?
Wad?
Shot Bushing?
