The factory notifed me a couple of days ago that they will be discontinuing the manufacturing and sale of the Platinum 2000.

As a result, they have dropped the standard retail price of $800 to $700.

If you have one and want another, or if you'd like to get into a new machine at a reduced price, give me a call or email me and I will get one going for you. They will still be making parts for them.

Well that just sucks. I can see an end to the lifetime warranty on the grivory shell holder. Im hoping someone makes one out of aluminum because the plastic is too flexable anyway. I will still keep mine though.

I think P/W will continue to warranty the Grivory cylinder. If not, I will grab up a sizeable supply of them and save them for you folks.

There is something spectacular on the horizon at P/W for us shooters, but I am not at liberty to say what it is. Consequently, keep an eye or ear open to some new GREAT news forth-coming.

    Bruce is an OK guy.

I sent my case feeder in and it was repaired at no charge even though I had contributed to the problem. They even paid return shipping.

It's nice to see a PW rep responding to concerns on this site, something I don't remember the former management doing . Looking forward to "something spectacular ."

Mike: I've mentioned that several times.

It would be easy if the wad manufacturers would mold the wads with a short "string" of polyethylene about ¼"-½" long attached at the top of the petal from one wad to another. One could then feed them through a trough of some sorts. We could them but them by the length, so to speak.

P/W does had one proto-type auto wad feeder in their storeroom. I looked at it, but it is pneumatic and looks kinda like spaghetti, Italian style ;-).

Hey, I need a top lever for an MX2005. Does Dan have any?

I only reload 12 ga with my 2000. I looked at it last night and am not concern in the least it will ever fail me and will perform well after I am gone. Just great well built machines.

Whiz- You stated "something great coming from PW, but I can't tell you anything"

You are teasing us. I already want to buy the thing and I don't even know what it is.

    Whiz,

Might you be able to share when 'something spectacular' will be announced? First of next year, spring?

The little bit that I know, I am hinting that it may be a couple of months, but I think it will be WELL worth the weight.

It will have many features that many of us have wanted for a while.

Sorry, but call it teasing if you will, but I can only say what I've been told and not told.

Since I have kinda dropped the hint at something new, I must also clarify that P/W will continue to manufacture and sell their flagship 800 Plus.

The new machine will *probably* be a heavy weight machine in the price category of the Spolar; that being in the $1,500-$1,700 range. The price, however, has not been set yet, as far as I know.

I say this because I did not intend to elude to their present day 800 Plus being next in the line for discontinuance. That is absolutely not the case. P/W feels that there are a couple of markets that they best fit in, and the reasoning behind their new endeavor.

Thanks to Bruce, Dick, Tanya and the gang there for developing something new for us shooters.
