OZ Loads

    What is your feeling on OZ loads for League shooting.

    I load 17.5 Clays and a Federal 12SO wad in Federal hulls, or 16.5 Clays in a AA hull with a AA 12SL 1 oz. wad and they both hang smoke balls on 16yd targets. Try them, you'll be happy!

    My AA load is about the same as Noodle's. Try 'em; you'll like 'em.

    If the score counts, use 1 1/8 oz.

    I use 1 oz for practice to save money; but, if recoil is not an issue, it is not possible to break more targets with less shot.

    It is, however, possible to break just as many targets with less shot.

    The best singles scores I've ever shot were with 1 ounce of 8-1/2 shot.

    And that's what I use for both shots of doubles.
