Overseas friends--Question?

    With gas hitting over $4.00 per gallon in the USA, I was wondering what you guy's in other countries are paying per gallon converted from liters?

    Can someone explain why we are purchaseing oil from overseas when we have the largest oil field here in North America.

    If you are asking for a rational explanation based on common sense, no. Add evil into the equation and now you're getting somewhere - but not in your car.

    kuwait: 78 cents a gallon. egypt: 65 cents a gallon. nigeria: 38 cents a gallon. venezuela: 12 cents a gallon. good luck with it

    Happily, below 0. There are actually three reasons:

    1) We don't have the largest oil field. Saudi Arabia does. Ghawar.

    2) Tree huggers and those foolish enough to believe their nonsense make domestic production costly and slow.

    3) For national security reasons, first we are going to use up everybody else's oil, then we will start using ours.

    Understand now?

    below 0..............PROFIT, MONEY, GREED, Etc. Etc.

    Same reason why they don't build more refineries. Keep the supply down, prices up.
