Thanks for the bumps Gayle & Mikk. Looking forward to seeing you Sunday.

Rumor has it that Bubba, Sven & Ole' will be blogging throughout the day on Sven's new fangled electronic Lemonberry thingy. I have no idea what all that means but I suspect it will be exciting stuff!

We appreciate your patronage. Thank you. See you on Sunday!

Weather guy says for tomorrow: 60 degrees, partly sunny w/ 5-10 mph west winds. Anxious to see our trapshootin' friends from all over for our NTD and final ATA of calender 2009. John in Iowa

What a great turnout even if the weather guy could not figure out wind direction & speed! We had approximately 56 shooters for our single bird events and 5 squads of doubles participants. The skies started sunny. Turned cloudy and then back to partly sunny over the day. The winds felt more like 15+ mph and more from the N- NW. I don't think it even came close to 60 degrees.

Nonetheless they came, they saw and they conquered (well at least some conquered :). Michael Moore (not the liberal film director) broke the lone 100 in singles. There were 4 93s in caps. Tim Van Wheelden <I'm confident the spelling is incorrect. Sorry Tim > won the shootoff over Paul Helt, Terry Elder and Bob (RL) Fuller. Those 3 each won their yardage group and all 4 received a punch. Jerry Pierce broke a pair of 49s (= 98) to win the doubles. Each discipline class/ydg winner & runner up, high 200 and the vet high 200 received a beautiful Shamrock leather product.

Thanks to all who jumped in to help pull this shoot together. If you filled a trap, scored a round, hustled a squad, worked the grounds prior to or even stooped over to pick some trash; we thank you. This volunteer club could not function without your willingness to pitch in (director or member or not).

Prior to beginning the program it was annouced that OCSC is in the process of raising funds to purchase a Defibulator for the club. We had a number of people (members AND nonmembers) donate to this worthy device. We are over half way to raising the necessary funds thanks to these generous people. We Thank all of you who have contributed. If you would like to contribute contact a board member. Contact info can be found on our website link above.

Last, but certainly not least, we also celebrated Joanne Delong's retirement with cake & ice cream. Joanne and her late husband, Jerry, have been fixtures at Otter Creek SC for as long as I can remember. Joanne - A "THANK YOU" seems so inadequate to express our gratitude for all you've given to and done for Otter Creek SC.
