Thanks for gettng this started BK. Things have been a little hectic lately around our house.

Friday July 3, 2009 Marathon targets all day & as many as you want (as long as we meet the ATA requirements. Target 1st 100 @ $18, 2nd @ $17, 3rd @ $16, 4th @ $15 and 5th is free. Want more? We start the count over. Daily State & ATA fees apply.

Saturday July 4th. 100 ea discipline. $24/hundred w/ program 16s starting @ 9:30 am. Following the shooting we have a catered meal that is free for each shooter and a guest.

Sunday July 5th. 100 ea 16s & Handicap w/ a 9:30 am start. The Handicap Champion earns a $1000. 2nd - $600 3rd - $400. Top 4 places in each yardage group receives Remington Gun Club shells. In addition, we will have an optional special event for this handicap.

Kitchen will be open for all 3 days for lunch AND breakfast. The playing cards are out. Otter is being groomed by some Very dedicated members as I type this. The lead recovery is ongoing but will be shut down for the weekend. The weathere forecast looks like high 70s/low 80s all weekend w/ very little chance of rain. We look forward to seeing all of you there. PM if you have questions. John in Iowa

Full results should be available to view online in a day or so. I apologize that I cannot remember all the winners. To follow is a bit of what I do know.

We want to say a very heartfelt Thank You to all who attended over the 3 days. It was great to see so many smiling faces; some familiar and some new. I know we had guests from at least 4 states BESIDES Iowa. WOW! Without your patronage we could not hold such an event.

We had a great day on Friday w/ some 24,000 targets shot over the day. Saturday we had 71 handicap shooters. This was inspite of the weather NOT cooperating the way we expected. Sunday was the pinnacle for weather and shooting. We had 114 shooters competing for the $1000 top prize in handicap. The weather was absolutely perfect! Bill Nelson won the $1000 with a lone 97! Great job Bill! There were something like 6 96s and a group of 95s, 94s & so on. These folks picked up the remainder of the $2000 added money and 60 flats of Remington Gun Club shells. Good Job Shooters!

Thanks to all of you who lent a hand at some point. Whether you stepped up to scored a squad while our hired youth took a quick break or bent over to pick a bit of trash or whatever other task you might have filled - Thank You.

To our VERY HARDWORKING Board & CLub Members - You, once again, stepped up and proven that Otter Creek SC can put out a quality product. Job Well Done.
