I must say, I never bought the double digit lead nonsense. All the polls have over sampled democrats.

I see Obama 50.1%, McCain 43.1% on the Zogby website.

Rasmussen has it at 51% to 47%. Obama's favor

    Tipp is 48.2%, 43.8% Obama's favor

Obama is way ahead in electoral college votes. Pay particular attention to who you elect to the senate and house.

My, don't they know the damage this will do to Trappy, 2str8, nipper, and the rest of the Socialist thinking individuals on here? Obama needs to be informed of this. Possibly he can ban any further reporting of this outrageous change of events. I see where he took care of those right wing radical reporters who had been traveling with him. Narcissistic Despotism, yes sir thats the Ossama Hussein Obama I've come to know and loathe J.Woolsey and I absolutely approve of this message.

Bush was down by 11% to Kerry at this point in that election.

One way they can SKEW the results is to poll more dems or repubs whichever way they want it to go. Bet they NEVER poll the midwest or south in their polls...wonder why. These pollsters proved worthless in the last election and with the variance in the numbers they are looking like that again.

Over sampling Dems gives the pollsters cover when their predictions of Dem victory doesn't come true. I also believe they try to suppress the Repub vote.

ZOGBY SATURDAY: Republican John McCain has pulled back within the margin of error... The three-day average holds steady, but McCain outpolled Obama 48% to 47% in Friday, one day, polling. He is beginning to cut into Obama's lead among independents, is now leading among blue collar voters, has strengthened his lead among investors and among men, and is walloping Obama among NASCAR voters. Joe the Plumber may get his license after all...

Sean Hannity just announced that Zogby will announce tomorrow that McCain is now up by 1%

    Things are looking up.

    Go Sarah!

Weekend polls are not high value. Many people are unavailable, and the results may not be accurate.

You could call them "couch potato polls".

This poll was taken on Friday. I'm hopeful that the pollsters are finally telling the truth in an attempt to save their reputations.

There has never been an election like this one. With all the voter fraud, early voting, media bias, turmoil in the credit market, questionable background of Barack Obama and general noise surrounding this election I don't think that any poll could possibly reflect what is actually going to happen.

Some pollsters poll registered voters and some poll likely voters.
They poll percentages of Democrats and Republicans based on what they think the turnout will be or based on the results they want to achieve. How can we have confidence in any of them?
