Not so fast. Rasmussen states "30% of Voters Could Change Their Mind Between Now and Election Day—56% Are Women"

The congressional approval dropped to a new low of 11%, but will remain dumocrat controlled. The presidential race however,,is wide open. 30% wide open. The current poll spread between the two candidates is a within error 3%.

If this were a 7-game series, the Democrats would be up 3-0 right now based on the economy, energy, and the perception of how the war was handled.

However - the Republicans just won one back when Shrillary got defeated in the primary. It's now 3-1. (The Clinton brand name was far more electable in the General than Obama).

The hesitancy of many older, white redneck Democrats to vote for a black candidate will put another game into the Republican category...3-2. (That middle name "Hussein" just won't go away).

Obama sticking his foot in his mouth every time he opens it doesn't help him either - the man is a walking gaffe machine.

But remember - the Dems still only have to win one more game to clinch it. The Republicans are in very dangerous territory - but they aren't dead...yet.

McCain's choice for VP is going to be critical in this election. A good pro-gun conservative would bring a lot of pissed off gun owners back into the fold, and chosing a woman could siphon women ticked at Hillary losing to Obama.

So, who meets that criteria?

    2gay,

I have my popcorn ready. Your boy's ability to "see dead people in the audience" is making interesting viewing out of what "used" to be a certain Democrat victory. He makes more gaffes per week than Bush, which is saying something (and Bush isn't on the ballot). And Hillary was right about something - there are a whole lot of backwards, racist white Democrat hillbillies in battleground states that your black muslim is _not_ going to get.

The Democratic Party's weakness has always been its voters' propensity to pick unelectable liberals in the primary (Mondale, Dukakis, Kerry). It would appear that Jimmy Carter's second term as a reincarnated black man still has some obstacles to becoming reality.

Bush has not been that bad. I passed at least 10 businesses this morning on the way to work with help wanted signs out. Yet we are told by the media every day this is the worst economy since the great depression. We have not been hit again by terrorist since 9-11. Yet we are told every day by the media his war on terror was a failure. The truth is the media can control small minds. Unfortunately for us there are more small minds in this country than ever before. Obama is an idiot. Listen to him when he gets off his script. He even said he would surrender in Iraq yet attack Pakistan. This man is a total fool.

Because the owners of this country don't want that-the real owners, the big, wealthy business interests that make all the important decisions. Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don't. You have no choice. You have OWNERS. They own you. They own everything. They own the land. They own all the corporations. They've long since bought and paid for the Congress, the Senate. They have all the judges in their back pockets. They own all the big media companies. So they control all the news and information you hear. They've got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying to get what they want. We know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else. - George Carlin

Unemployment in the country is 5 percent. That used to be considered full employment. Where I live unemployment is around 2 percent. You people on the left have cold feet and want to surrender in Iraq when we are winning. Don't even dream of attacking Pakistan. You don't have the stomach for victory. The left is made of America hating cowards and traitors. Not the best combination for waging war against terrorism. Better suited for appeasement.

World War II was over in less time because we leveled all the enemies cities. We don't fight wars like that anymore.

Geez kid! Congress has made it virtously impossible to fight a war, take a look at which side is against our troops, same side that caused us to lose in Vietnam.

Keep it up, you are doing a fine job of showing just how screwed up liberals can be. Maybe they will make you their poster child 2str8!

Just remember to thank a soldier for your right to spew such filthy lies son.

    Wake up America!

Headline in this morning's Seattle newspaper

Microsoft adds a record 11,200 employees
Bolstered by big acquisitions, Microsoft Corp. has set a company growth record -- adding a net total of more than 11,200 employees to its worldwide ranks this fiscal year.

Yet, Seattle and Western Washington is the most reliably liberal voting area in the country.

Speaking of mental midgets, 2str8 said "Bush should have gone after him. Like he promised he would do."

slick willie promised he would "track them down and bring them to justice", all five times. What a joke. slick willie's failures unleashed global terror.

2str8 said; "Talk about no plan to win."

The Washington Post reported: "Less than a year after his agency warned of new threats from a resurgent al-Qaida, CIA Director Michael V. Hayden now portrays the terrorist movement as essentially defeated in Iraq and Saudi Arabia and on the defensive throughout much of the rest of the world, including in its presumed haven along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border."

    You're wrong again, as usual.

I had always pulled Democrat ballot in past primaries, and like many people, I am or was a democrat because that was what my/your family was. I always felt like the democrats usually were a little more favorable to blue collar labor which I felt most closely associated with. I have never voted a straight ticket in any general election and I am 40. I always voted for who I thought was the best person for the job, and who had the best head on their shoulders. However, I can no longer call myself a Democrat, because the DNC has done everything in its power to manipulate the number of delagates needed to hand Obama the nomination. I know most of you don't care for Hillary, but I would have taken her over Obama any day of the week. The DNC has allowed the popular vote to count for nothing and screwed over a substantial number of their party, including me. Quite frankly, the old time Democrats like FDR are few and far between. I live in Indiana and will venture to say that many Democrats whether current or former Democrats will be voting for McCain, including myself.

I consider myself above all, an AMERICAN who is sick of party politics, and I do not believe Obama is right for this country. He only has 143 days of active service in his office as Senator. How in the world could he have the knowledge, experience or connections to get things accomplished?

I for one am sick of the ultra left, which is what Obama is, even more left than Kennedy or B. Frank. I am also sick of the ultra right too. At this point, I think McCain is the right guy to unite enough red blooded Americans whether they call themselves Democrats or Republicans to do whats right for this country and its citizens. I just hope McCain picks a running mate that helps significantly, that he figures out a good way to deal with the illegal immigrants. and to get those Iraqi's off their rear ends to stand up for themselves.

I have no problem with someone wanting to come or coming to this country, but they need to come through the front door rather than the back, they better pay their taxes if they the want their social security, they better be part of the solution rather than the problem and they better be willing to serve in the military if called upon. And while I am at it. They better be willing to be called Americans rather than Mexican-Americans, African-Americans or where ever they come from. I don't call myself German-American.

Good luck Johnny Mac in November!!!!!!!!!!!

Everybody, go back and read "Luvs2shoot's" post just above.

I think there are a lot more people like him than many may realize. I see them every day.

The Dems are supposed to have the wind at their backs this year, for obvious reasons. But if there were a dark lining inside that cloud for Democrats, a lurking danger as it were, then Luv2shoot's post describes it perfectly. Read his post, and multiply it across many other "fly-over territory" battleground states, and you'll see why the Democrats may be in more danger than they realize.

2str8 said; "Bush had him at Tora Bora and let him go."

Is there no end to your ignorant inaccurate posts?

"Bush had him at Tora Bora and let him go." deckart/antigojohn/sammie also posted those exact words.

    2str8 said; "Bush invaded afganistan".

    The Congressional vote to invade was as follows;

In the Senate, 98 voted for invasion. 0 voted against it.

In the house, 420 voted for invasion. 1 voted against.

The invasion was with full U.N. support.

You just don't have a clue. There certainly is some "stupid and incompetent" involved here, to use your words.

It is time that you leave, and go to liberalsdotcom or something, where you can lie and feel at home.

2str8, listen, I was clearly talking about Afghanistan, do you understand that?? NOT Iraq.

If you want to know why we are in Iraq, ask the people in the video. Ask them.

"You can call me Mr. Kerry now because he said the same words as I did."

Kerry didn't post those words here before. Interestingly deckart/antigojohn/sammie did.

    Feel free to leave.

The only reason Osama Obama has ANY chance is that so many americans are dumbed down and stupid!!! This clown has hardly any experience in congress. He is a left wing socialist of the worst order. He was raised a muslim(attending an anti american radical school for muslim clerics). His mother dropped him into a christian school later for political reasons. He hates this country and is a closet racist with a hateful American hating witch of a wife who is now trying to improve her image with a "make over" by the media because she can't keep her hateful anti american mouth shut!!. He is rabidly anti gun and openly admits he would call for sweeping restrictive gun laws including trhe banning of ALL privately owned handguns and "seni-autos" INCLUDING SHOTGUNS!!!! He calls for massive taxes, cuts in the miltary and for "DIALOGE" with terrorist(read that sucking up and caving in to their demands). If this BOZO gets in office, he will crush the economy with taxes, destroy the military, attack gun ownership, and sell this country down the river to our enemies. The Bush haters who simply want another Bush basher elected are among the D@^med fools who will vote for him at ANY cost(including the destruction of this country)! As sorry as Clinton was and as D@med sorry as Carter was, he will make both of them look good by end of his first term if he gets elected. The media LOVES him and will stop at NOTHING to see that this race bating, radical socialist, terrorist loving, america hating idiot gets elected!!! Go ahead and vote for this sorry LOSER. After he taxes us to death, ruins what's left of the ecomomy, drives unemployment and inflation through the roof, destroys the military, takes your guns and sells this country down the river, some idiots will STILL try and find a way to say somehow it's Bush's fault!!! They say a country gets the leader it deserves. If we DESERVE this clown we are in BAD SHAPE!

I agree with deckfart that Bush has been terrible. Since 9/11, we've been attacked numerous times by the terriorists. If Gore had won, they would have been too scared to attack us. With Obama, he'll surrender to them so they will have no reason to attack.
