My dog "Smitty" who was kind of the Markham Park mascot was put to sleep today because of acute kidney failure. He was 14.5 years old and was known at most of the clubs in S. Florida.

There was never a piece of food he didn't like and every shooter always looked for him at the shoots I was at. He was my pal and constant companion. I will miss him. Rest well my good friend, I will see you on the other side of Rainbow Bridge.

Eric, I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I know how much you cared for him. He will be missed not only by you, but by many of the shooters @ Markham and elsewhere. Sorry I missed you all there today. Break-em all. Jeff

Thanks everyone, especially Jerry B for the typical picture of Smitty. It's never easy dealing with the loss of a good friend but it's a work in progress.

Sorry as well to hear about Smitty, Eric. I spend almost every minute with Kyra somewhere near and I now how important that companionship can become. I just hope you can remember the good times; you will keep Smitty in your heart forever.
