I have that exact same 17 and I would highly recommend it. It is extremely accurate and a dream to shoot. The accutrigger is probably the smoothest trigger I have ever pulled and contributes greately to the accuracy. They are a little more expensive than other 17s I have seen but I really liked the apprearance with the thumbthrough and SS barrel. You cant go wrong with it IMO

    See the web site http://www.savagearms.com/93r17BTVS_LH.htm

    MSRP is $448.00

I sold one of these at the gun show here two weeks ago and now I almost regret it. I only shot one box of 50 shells through it but what a shooter. The trigger is as good as it gets and at 50 yards I was just putting one round right on top of the one before it.

Get one put a scope on it and go shooting

My son has the synthetic stocked blued bull barrel version. Very accurate. I think you'll be pleased.

The only complaint I have is that you have to take your hand out of the thumbhole to flip the safety. This isn't a problem with the standard stock versions. Otherwise it is a great gun and it is very accurate.
