OT//Opinions on a Saiga .223 for a what if gun/

    HD, check out the Kel-Tec line of rifles and carbines. I bought one of the carbines on a whim and bought several others after shooting it. Not a match grade rifle, but it works and folds into a nice portable package. Just try a bunch of different types of ammo to see what will feed thru it. Rick Gibbs
    PS Buy a Remington 870 short barreled shotgun too...

    Saiga's are great guns for the money. Mine is a 7.62x39, which I much prefer over the .223 for an all-around defense weapon.

    I have the 223 version with a 20 inch barrel.At 100 yards I get 1 to 1 1/2 groups. That is with a 62 gr boattail bullet.I have only cleaned it once,took the cover off the other day and it is clean.Not unlike my AR which has to be clean to work.If you have any more questions you can pm me and I will try to answer.David
