I have a pair of LaCross 5 mm neoprene waders that are only about 4 years old and not used much. They leak badly in the crotch and down one leg. Tried to look at the material in the leak area and can't see anything that looks like a tear or rip etc. Tried a blind patch using Shoe Goo but still leaks. Any ideas on how to locate the leak and finally material to use to patch. Any help is appreciated.

Fill them with air, tie off the top, use soapy water or "Snoop" in the suspect area and look for bubbles as you squeeze them. Clean off the soap and repair.

"Leak badly" + "waders" = get new waders.

    Ladies Man,

Thanks for the help. Do you use this glue to do the patch or do you attach a patch to the waders using the Perfect Glue 1?

Liquid Nails sold at your local building materials supplier!

One word of caution....Do Not put the waders on until they are dry!!

For neoprene, I would use the same cement that we used for diver's wet suits and dry suits made of neoprene. Any dive shop can get it for you. I'd try to locate the leak BEFORE applying any goo, goop, or other magic elephant snot on them.

If all else fails, the stores have plenty of new ones.
