OK... Manning was not at his best and the Colts were not the Super Bowl team of 2007, but I have to say I was somewhat impressed (and relieved) with Kyle Orton's poise last night and the Bears overall performance on the field.

2008-09 may not be the embarrassment 100% of the media have forcasted and YES, its still early! Lastly, I am ignorant as to what the "GU" represents on the uniforms... a little help here?!

    regards to all,

    Jay

Gene Upshaw was a former player and head of the players union passed away recently. A nice tribute to a man who worked hard for the players.

Even a blind Bear gest into the honey once in awhile. The defense was excellent like days of old and the qb was collected so they may play well this year.

Thanks for the Gene Upshaw comment... I recall seeing a comment on his record of games played without a miss, but didn't put 2+2 together...

    again, thanks,

    Jay,

You probably don't remember but we used to shoot at the old Lincoln Park Traps in Chicago from '83 till it closed in the '90's.

Normally I blame my memory loss on a lack of Vitamin B6/12, but I never had the opportunity to shoot at Lincoln Park... do you have me confused with someone else?!

    Jay,

Don't think so unless I'm thinking of another range in Chicago, Maywood perhaps? Your name is sure familiar in my Chicago memory bank but I left there 11 years ago to relocate here in S. Florida.

Oh boy... I've done it now!

I have shot at Maywood a number of times, but never as member. I'm guessing our paths have crossed numerous times across Chi-Town...
