    OT: Auto CD changer problem

My daughter managed to put seven CDs into the "magazine" of the radio/CD player in her '97 Mercury Villager. That was one more than the engineers who designed it had in mind. The unit closed okay but then the grinding noises started. The efforts to open it up again have been futile. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Ron Renouf

Remove and disassemble. Then take all but 6 cd's out of the vehicle.

The plastic screws holding it in allegedly won't unscrew. Is it possible that they were riveted to deter theft? Ron

Call the dealership and talk to a service guy. I have gotten lots of help on everything from fords to Cadillacs that way. these guys like to dislay their expertise.
