OT 57 M Receiver Sight identification?

    This Sight is marked 57M and my book does not give information on a 57M Other 57s but not a plain M designation...Any one have an old catalog or information what it will fit? Thanks

    Myself, I believe it to be an old Lyman sight. The deer emblem with the reticle. i'll check when I'm home. I believe many of the old Mossbergs were fitted with Lymans.

    Hey BigM-Perrazi.... Yes it is a Lyman sight which I should have pointed out. The inside of the base is made for a round receiver with the two screw holes out in front...I have looked at the Mossberg pictures and can't determine if they ever used this sight...It seems that Mossberg made most of their sights... Thanks

    57M Is for a marlin mod.80, .22 have one on mine.

    My mistake, just looked, marlin sights are marked 57 MR. Sorry for the bad info.

    I have a pair of Mossberg 44 US WW2 training rifles fitted with Lyman sights marked 57MS.
