Hey everybody, I was in Dick's this afternoon looking for deals on shells (didn't find any) anyways I was looking around and wandered to the shoes, I started looking and I noticed they had casual/dress shoes made by Timberland. Does anyone have experience with these shoes? I stand a lot at work and need something comfortable. How do they compare to say Rockports? Thanks!

Go with the rockports, or if any near you try redwing shoes.

Timberland is anti-gun. Will not buy anything from them.

Kenf: You say they are anti gun. Why do you say so? What have they done, said or advertised to make you say that? I have no interest in them but statements like yours need to be quantified.

Red Wing is the best work shoe hands down. But if you are looking for more of a hiking type w/o steel toe, Vasque is really good. They are owned by Red Wing so it makes sense. Merrell is decent too, they are owned by Wolverine. I find Timberland to be overrated myself.

Timberlands are street shoes impersonating real outdoor rugged shoes. They also have VERY poor support in comparison to real outdoorsman's brands.
