I have been thinking about buying a Beretta DT-10. As of yet, I have not shot one. I used to own a Beretta 682 Gold E. It was a great gun.

Can a release trigger be used? Somewhere I thought I had read, or heard that there was not enough room in the gun for a release trigger.

I may have just dreamed that. At my age I dream about a lot of things. lol.

Would appreciate any input from people that own and shoot the DT-10

    Thanks

I have owned a DT 10 and am planning on buying one another one shortly.

I had the sporting model with an adjustable comb and like a fool I sold it..

Great gun and release triggers are available.

After several Brownings, a couple of Perazzis and shooting everything I could get my hands on, I bought a DT 10 Trap Combo. I still shoot it. It is a great gun, solid, adjustable, absolutely dependable and not needing of constant primping. I bought a second and put the O/U barrels on it as a committed doubles gun. I now have the second gun with an unsingle barrel for sale if you are interested. One of these guns is all you need.

Appreciate the info. I am considering getting away from a high rib gun such as I am shooting now. I now shoot a Caesar Guerini Summit Combo. I think I would like a DT-10 Trap O/U.

First thing is I need to find one that I can try. I live in Amarillo, Tx and have not seen one around here.

The gun is used by Leo Harrison III.

He is likely the best trap shooter in the world.

It may work for you too.

Don't know if it specifically addresses the release trigger question, but this thread is fairly recent on the subject of opinions of the DT-10.

I looked at a DT-10 when i bought a 682 Gold E a few years ago, and i ended up buying the Gold E after i was referred to Cole Gunsmithing and they told me the Gold E is the way to go.
In my honest opinion, if your gonna drop that kind of cash, you should seriously look at a Kolar, much better quality and the service is amazing.

I actually have two PFS wood grips. One for each of my DT 10s. If I sell the one unsingle gun with the stock grip, I will probably have one of the PFS set-ups for sale. Stocker John Fittinger made my grips for me.

If there wasn't Perazzi, I'd shoot a DT10. Every bit as good a trapgun.

Please don't buy one, they are the best kept secret in the clay target games...if too many people figure this out the prices will sky-rocket..

    Fred J

Also, I do own two of them FWIW.

I have been and am still searching for an unmolested DT-10 34/32, top single combo set ... I don't want to buy someone elses junk or a gun that has had a break down issues in the past ... I will not pay suggested retail because they do not hold their value for some reason, so the one I buy will have to be a keeper ... The gun I want is out there and I will find it sooner or later, in the mean time I bought a Perazzi combo so I can have a over/under sitting around just in case I get an itch that needs to be scratched that requires a two shooter ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Just got rid of my DT-10 combo and ended up with an MX-14L. Don't know if I did the right thing or not. Really liked the DT-10, but it seemed a little too heavy for me. Just hope that the MX-14 is as dependable as the DT.
