I installed a 1" add a rib to my O/U barrel. The receiver was off getting the K-80 trigger installed, so I wasn't able to just hold it on and try it out. Well, this is what you get when you rush things. Do not like the looks of it because the comb is way too high, but the darn thing feels great when I put it up. I may need to go to a trap special stock that starts out higher, but I'll see how I shoot it this weekend.
I hate it when a plan doesn't come together. Even the cat thinks it looks stupid.GaryL.

I put an Add On rib on my K 80 also. I made a temporary comb out of a piece of 4 X 4. I want to be sure this is what fits and I really want to spend the extra bucks. Shoots good with the temp comb though.

I had a monte carlo comb made for my 525 sporting which I converted into a trap gun.

I didn't like the look of the huge space filled with washers

With all those spacers...I gotta' ask...how long is your neck??

Hell...I'd have to get a stepladder to shoot that thing.

That's the thing you don't need a long neck the add-a-rib needs the extra comb height because the whole point is to have your head straighter.

Look at my gun before and after the add-a-rib but without my monte carlo comb that I had made.

First pic is before the add-a-rib and the Second pic is after

    Bob...

I don't have an updated pic of my new setup. Now I only have like 1/4 inch or less stack of washers.

Well my reason was to have my head straighter, and comb parallel to the rib; I didn't worry about the looks. My stock guy took care of that

WPT, with the new catagories they might have a "goofy gun" trophy.

It seems to me this may be getting out of hand. Shooting from the hip is not to far away. Hey, if it works, go for it. The thing is you have to get a different case in most situations. It seems they are getting to the point that there are not cases made to fit these very high ribs.
