Only 32% of registered Republicans voted. And only 38% of registered Democrats.

This says a lot on just how truly awful both candidates were. Neither was able to really charge up their base into supporting them. Dems were disillusioned with Obama, and apparently a good many Republicans could not see supporting a Dem Lite.

I really hope the Republicans take this to heart and learn this lesson by 2016, or we are going to see more failures like GHW Bush's second term, Bob Dole, John McCain and now Mitt Romney, who should have been a shoo in given how bad the economy is.

We deserve exactly the government we got.

It wasn't too smart to f**k over our kids and grandkids though.

Think about this, Clinton whom claimed to have tried smoking pot but never inhaled was elected twice! Really someone that can't smoke pot gets elected to run a branch of our government twice!

Crappy candidates and the Media pummels the voters for months with every boring little detail. They lose interest, and think everyone in politics is a crook anyway, so is doesn't matter.

Each candidate should answer 60 important questions and post their answers in the county court house and post office. Let the voters educate themselves.

Save the advertizing money. Half of it is lies anyway.

72% of Republicans voted in the county I live in....Also Romney won our county but unfortunately most of the state didn't care about the country and Obama won the state electoral ballots.

I believe people are realizing that the President has become a symbolic position like the Queen of England. The real power to destroy our county resides in the Senate and House, plus the dumbing down of America has allowed apathy to gain a foothold. But what do I know; I’m just another dumb American going to work every day to support those that don’t, sigh…
