One gun or two

    What do you think .One gun for trap and one for doubles. Or combo.

    You'll get many opinions from most far more experienced than me.


    I like the O/U solution. Same gun, i.e. balance, weight, sight picture, etc. for all disciplines.

    One...an O/U...all games are covered this way. Note how many single barrel shooters have weights on the forend or barrel, porting, and recoil reduction systems to tame the recoil and make the single barrel as heavy as an O/U. Best Regards, Ed

    My goal is one for everyday of the year then will move too two. In all reality if it feels good do it.

    Why limit yourself ... you need one gun for singles, one gun for handicap, another for doubles and lets not forget the backup guns.

    The real question is 8 or 12 guns?

    Mr Newbius....why not 24? Never limit yourself!

    but with 24 you need a big safe ... with 12 you can get a smaller safe and have some extra money for shells.
