On my way home from Tucson, Az. I stopped in Buena Vista,Colarado to visit relatives, Woke up early Saturday Am and heard shooting.
I actually woke up early and went to Jan's for breakfast and upon retun heard the shooting.
Went for a short drive to find and interesting old facilty at the rodeo grounds.
5 trap fields , little club house. Anyone else ever shoot there.
I came home from Tucson with no ammo.
Interesting club. Been there a while.

That's good news! I'm headed to Colorado in July to visit the folks and my sister has a place in BV. Now I won't be bored!

This is an older facility, must have an interesting history, I am hoping my friend Ken Estes will weigh in on this location. I do have pictures.
Quite a view. Very interesting area. I don't think you will get bored.
The club house has two names over the main entrance . I think Harold Smith & likely his wife. My nephew is the dinner cook at Jan's. Good meals.
I will try to get help with the addition of pictures!!
    Hoping for more feedback.

Maybe that is where Neil Winston has been hiding for a few years. After all he PROMISED to get back to me as soon as he returned from that big shoot in Az.

Jan's is the best for breakfast. I been going there for the last 14 years, when I get on the mountain for archery elk season. BV is a beautiful town. I know where the trap club is, but a have never seen anyone shoot there.

On my way home, leaving Buena Vista, Colarado on Hwy. 285 heading north to Fairplay,CO. at 7:00 am rounded the corner, there stand a large herd of elk just in the field on the right. Amazing sight!!
