On K32 latch hood question

    As I can recall the barrel lugs are significantly softer that the hardened toplatch. That's why Krieghoff always made replaceable toplatches progressively thicker to account for lug wear!!

    The top latch is much harder than the "ears" on the bbl. You can either pay to have a new latch cover installed or, have the water-table ears carefully welded and then refit the latch.

    The only little catch with welding is the bluing will get discolored around the weld. This can be somewhat hidden by polishing the small area around the weld and cold bluing it, then sometime in the future reblue the bbl when is needs it.

    there is a diffence in geometry between some guns- particurally earlier K32s-- hats why that K80 barrel fit the same

    if you dont want to interchange barrels- weling the ears will work just as Doug suggests

    If you want to interchange barrels- probably several things have to be done to that action and then each barrel might need some fitting on itself
